In A House, At Night
"He was really a pro about it. He was very, very flexible, right? Too try and retry to reach for the best possible version of the music."
- TOMAS FERREIRA (DIRECTOR)
Filmmaker Tomás Ferreira brings an incredibly powerful and surreal tone to In a House, At Night. The story and POV of Lynn and Alice flow together, and the music… and lack of music… strike the right notes to accentuate the moment. Once you lock into the story, the visual takes on a whole new life and perspective on women and children displaced as a result of abuse.
FILM THREAT
With splashes of Argento color, a pulsing Carpenter-esque synth score, and an immersive, crackling sound design, this short investigates loss of innocence and investigates the barriers of evil---both those real and imaginary. Ferreira knows how to conjure up a sense of dread using carefully chosen pans and dollies---slow burn moments of minutia (sliding a glass across a wall, walking toward a door at the end of the hall) that intentionally raise more questions than answers. He understands that the best kind of horror is built on psychology of characters, and that this will provide a foundation for horrific consequences.

SOUNDCLOUD Soundtrack Demos
Here are some more audio samples of my work that display more of my diversity.
Dredd is a drum pushed, synth and guitar track that would work great in a sci-fi/action movie. Archangel is a mysterious piece that was used in a student project. Prey is a more orchestral based piece that would work in a fantasy setting. Red Tag is a piece I created for a zombie movie that is currently still in development, it combines elements from The Last Of Us, 28 Days Later and Joker. Katerinas Introduction is an excerpt from the audio drama The Black Pass.
